"We need to ensure our teachers have the resources and space to teach. We need to advocate for the county school system to expand funding or buildings where needed."

"While the City doesn’t control school funding or operations—that responsibility belongs to the Baldwin County Board of Education—we absolutely have a role to play in helping our schools remain strong. That includes continuing to coordinate with school leaders on issues like traffic, safety, walkability, and city services that directly impact students, families, and staff. The City also supports Fairhope's Educational Enrichment Foundation, along with programs such as The Pelican’s Nest at the K–1 Center, which provide valuable learning experiences for our children and resources for our teachers. Fairhope has always been a strong advocate for our schools—and that should continue. Whether through support for school resource officers or safe routes to school, the City plays an important role in ensuring Fairhope remains a place where families want to live and where our schools can continue to thrive."

"It is time to invest more money into our parks and recreation facilities to ensure they are the envy of other towns on the Eastern Shore. Some solutions are simple (such as repairing broken equipment) but others would require more extensive investments (such as building additional splash pads and playgrounds, or renovating recreation facilities)."

"The City of Fairhope is actively expanding recreational opportunities for our youth, and I’m proud to support that effort. In recent years, we’ve built four new baseball fields, purchased 40 acres to support Fairhope youth football, and continued to invest in the facilities and programs that serve Fairhope families. We’re also excited about the addition of the Fly Creek Nature Preserve, which offers trails for biking and hiking, pavilions for outdoor education, and meaningful opportunities for families to explore and connect with nature. Beyond athletics, I believe it’s equally important to support a wide range of extracurricular activities—including educational programs like The Pelican’s Nest. Whether it’s through recreation, the arts, STEM initiatives, or partnerships with local schools and nonprofits, these experiences help young people grow into confident, capable members of our community. As both a coach and a parent, I’ve seen firsthand the impact these programs can have—and I’ll continue working to ensure every child in Fairhope has access to them."
